Hi everyone. I'm new here and to riding. Signing the papers at lunch on a new 2013 883L. Taking the rider safety course as soon as I can get in. My husband and ex both ride as well as my best friend and her husband. I figured I might as well join them. I rode a long time ago I just need to brush the dust off.
Any advice on what I may want to put on the new bike? I am having forwards put on as I have long legs and the mids are just too uncomfortable. I would like floorboards and a back rest. Luggage rack, saddlebags and a crash bar.
I have been doing lots of reading here and think your forums are great.

Congratulations on the new bike. You might try the Sportster forum as they have more info and the links for suppliers for your Sporty. We came over from that forum last year when we got our Heritage, we had a '06 XL1200C.
Have a great time! I just sold my sporty for a softail slim. Miss the nightster already! You will notice a huge difference in how your bike sounds and runs if you do a stage one-air cleaner, tuner, pipes. My bike ran so much cooler after the stage one (not to mention a little more power).
I always recommend riding the bike for a couple months so you know what ou really want to change. Saves you a ton of money in the long run.
Check out the Queens of the Road Forum for lady riders. Many of us there love to talk about our upgrades!
Congrats and welcome to the forum!
