2013 Breakout
Bwensel,
Congrats to you on the purchase. You deserve it as a treat to yourself for the years of service. I love mine, they are very nice bikes. I really like the red on yours.
There's a lot of extras that will fit and work for custmomizing and performance. Mine really woke up and actually "became a Harley" once I added the V&H BR 2-2 pipes, A/C and Powervision.
Good luck with yours...

A real nice affordable upgrade are the Custom Dynamics LEDs - safety upgrade as well. Front turn signal DynamicRingz replacements act as bright front running lights with amber turn signals in the middle - pop in plug and play.
If you want an engine guard check out the Lindby Multibar with built in foot rest - available in chrome or black.
I'm looking at V-H pipes on mine as soon as my wallet stops smokin' from the abuse so far....

Mini apes. I use to have that same problem but not any more.
Bassani slip-ons with unwrapped baffles. I just installed Big City Thunder head pipe baffles and learned after the fact that they are the QQ's which are way too quiet for me. Going back to the Bassani baffles if they won't swap out for the BCT Monster's.

I was at the dealer today and checked out a red Breakout. Almost pulled the trigger but couldn't figure out how to ride two bikes home at the same time.
I think I will call the dealer to see if they will work out a deal and black out a few things. I really like the bike but too much chrome for me.

That's a pretty 1 sided opinion, yours of course.
I strongly disagree, as if it wasn't for the Breakout I probably wouldn't own a Harley. The looks are what I was looking for. I don't care for 90% of the Harley's styling. Not saying I don't get it, or don't like them, it just isn't what I want.
The blackline is not the same bike at all. the Breakout is 4" longer, 1/2" closer to the ground, 5 degree extra rake, 240mm rear tire vs... 140? etc... etc... Pretty big list and a lot to change on a Blackline if the style of the Breakout is what you like.
Now everyone has their own tastes, I respect that, but the Blackline is no where near the bike I wanted personally, and the Breakout was.
The Breakout can still be made something unique and respresentative of me, but IMO with a MUCH better starting point for what I wanted.

If I were to buy a brand new bike out of all the models Harley offers in 2013 the Breakout is the only one I would buy.
Well, then I guess I would buy the Blackline and try and make it look exactly like a Breakout.. because the breakout is PERFECT for me.

P.S. - I went through a lot to get the bars where they are, and might have settled too soon but the speedo bucket on this thing is an issue. My suggestion is to look into the CVO riser/speedo setup (2" rise) with about a 12" bar. I was afraid to pull the trigger on the 14" kit HD offers mainly because of the $$$ but also because of the ugly factor.
Also, a bit concerned about the overall look of this model - I was at a sandwich shop yesterday and the guy asked if I was riding a honda, I have been in depression mode since, very concerning. Never once had that with my 04 Heritage. I think it solidified my thoughts that HD was trying to grab the VTX/Star/Raider market with this model.
Also never had a problem riding 2-up, but this bike is definitely not made for that no matter what the "detachable bags, sundowner seats, and sissy rest" components would lead you to believe.
