Has anyone out there tried the Superchip Vigilante Flash? Was looking at it and it looks interesting. I have owned Superchip programers before and really liked it. How about a real review?
I'm surprised that nobody has chimed in here. When I looked them up online they seem to be legit alternative for tuning. I especially like the fact that they're android compatible and can be tuned and adjusted from your phone via Bluetooth. Hopefully someone will have some knowledge on these devices.
Unless I am missing something it is 400 bucks and is only for canned maps. I looked up a 08 softail with 2-1 and high flow intake, pretty common combo and they had no maps available. if it was 200 bucks maybe but for 400 there are alot better devices out there. it says there are some parameters to change but does not go into specifics.
I purchased the superchips vigilante flash tuner while in Sturgis for my 2010 Roadglide. They had a booth at Black Hills HD and were selling it for $165.00 installed. Immediately noticed less heat and gas mileage got a nice bump. went from averaging 43 MPG at 82mph to 47. No major increase in power really but the throttle response is much better. Stock 96 inch, stock 2 into 1 headpipe with cat removed, Carriage works slip on, stage 1 backing plate and filter. Hope they come out with the pro software soon so I can do some cam and headwork. I am pleased with it so far but no way would i pay 400 dollars for it.
I spent about twenty minutes talking with one of the techs at bike week last February. It was only compatible with windows based computers and androids. That put me off as I am typing this right now on an iPad. It seemed to me right now it was in development stage and with time could get better. It also seemed that if you bought it you would have to buy the aftermarket accessories that they had maps for kinda like a fuelpak.
Just purchased the Vigilante Flash model and will be picking it up this week. Since this is an older thread I'd like to hear from any who have since tried the product and what are your thoughts? Any issues with the IOS app and ease of use and performance. I currently have a Stage 1 SE kit and Vance&Hines
Long Shots on my 2005 Heritage.
I have one on my '12 Deluxe.Quick and EZ reflash. You only need a computer to check for any updates and if so to put them in the tuner.
I paid $150 and it stopped the hideous popping that I was having.Rush 2" and Big-Sucker. No complaints.
I was all set to buy a Vigilante EZ for my 2014 Heritage, but I saw on their website they only go to 2013. I called them up and they said they have nothing yet for 2014, but are working on it. What's the difference between a 2013 Softail and 2014? Why wouldn't the EZ work?
