I just installed the headlight today, so I can't give you a real opinion yet. I think it's pretty cool have the turn signals installed in the head lamp. Cleaned up the handle bars. I need to wash her, she hasn't has a bath since the Laughlin run.
I'm surprised you noticed the leaned back bars. I like the lowered look. I still going to switch out the bars. I just trying to decided which bars to go with. I had previously purchased a set of 17" apes, but they just didn't fit the look. So they went up on ebay when the came back from powder coat.
I agree with you about the black. I do need a contrasting color. I have a buddy who does custom pinstripping, I just want to make sure I get my new fenders installed before I pull the friend card. I don't him to have to do it twice. I was thinking about using some flat black and red striping.
The rims are 23x3.5 and 18x3.5. I wanted to maintain the slim rear. I'll wash the bike tomorrow and get some pictures. I'll bust out the real camera as opposed to the dang iPhone.
Sick bike! I'm currently building an FL softail with DNA Mammoth 23/18's also. Are you planning on running a front fender?
I'm going to order a 23 wrapper fender in the next weeks. I have work a little OT to pay for it first. I've dropped some cash in the past weeks on the wheels and the shotgun. I ordered a new rear fender a few weeks ago and I'm still waiting for it get delivered. I want to take everything in to get painted at the same time.
