first of all.. great job on your bike.It looks very nice!!!
I am a little late here with my post but I just got a question for you.

Do you remember the original dealer sales price of your FLSTN?
I own a 94 Heritage Softail Special and I am collecting all kind of infos of those bikes
and so I was wondering about the prices back at the time in Australia.

Thanks a lot in advance[/quo

Great job all around. You can tell she was very well taken care of. The logo's on the tank, I always thought that they were a FatBoy logo. So sorry if I am wrong. Anyway, great looking ride you got there...

Hi Doberdog88,

Just pulled out my original receipt of purchase,

purchased the bike brand new in 95, with the "extras" i had put on the bike at the dealership (just had the spotlamps put on) total price out of the dealership with on road costs $24,450 Australian Dollars. wow . looking at that now, it was a lot of money back then.

I have a buddy who has a 94 like yours, we ride and we love them. Theyre a special breed of Heritages. Enjoy your bike and ride safe.

Cheers from down under.

However, this was the height of the Harley feeding frenzy and the Heritage was at the top of the list for big premiums at that time. $2,500.00 to $4,500.00 above MSRP was typical.

I'm sure that Nick can be more accurate.

- Nice job man... The bike looks great!!!

Yes Ken, the prices back then were very high, and i was buying at a time when Harley was "the luxury item to have", and dealers were selling out before the bikes were on the shop floor. I bought my bike unseen, only from the catalogue.

Thanks man

Thanks a lot for your response! That really was a lot of money for those Specials back then.WOW!!!
I also did some research about the production numbers of the 94 -96 Specials but nobody "really" knows them except for the 93 Nostalgia.I am going to contact Harley myself to get an info about it that is Company approved. And I will let you know when I know more about it.
Thanks again and enjoy riding safely yourself!!

Greetings from Beautiful British Columbia,Canada

I bought my '94 FLSTN new in September of '93. MSRP in the U.S. was $13,249. I remember I traded my '89 Sportster and $10,000 cash for it.

I was lucky (or timed it right). At the time waits of a year or more and premiums of $3-4K over MSRP were common. I ordered the bike on September 1st and rode it home on September 9th. I paid retail and not a penny more. I guess it was meant to be.

Thanks for your information!
That really is quite the difference to the international market prices!
But it still remains that you pay more for a Harley outside the US,which also makes sense.
