i have AARP foremost bike insurance. for a few extra bucks a year i get unlimited towing and trip interruption coverage. voltage regulator went out in big bend(west texas) last spring. called the phone number on my insurance card and they sent a wrecker to haul me to the nearest dealer...250 miles to odessa. no mess, no fuss. i did not see the bill, but i am sure it was a lot. good people and good prices.
I just got a letter from triple A.I read the fine print ,it states"we will tow for free back to from where the tow truck came" WTF? just what some one needs, there ride at the mercy of some tow yard impoundment.
I have Progressive. It was $10 a year.

Apparently different local "clubs" have different policies & different levels of membership. My card from “AAA Northway" is “Plus RV” which includes motorcycles.
When I broke down traveling in Quebec, they hooked me up with their Canadian affiliate, CAA, & carried the bike to a Harley Davidson dealer.
P.S. I also have Progressive but never needed to use it. The less my insurance company knows about my riding problems, the better.
AAA RV Premium. Covers my bikes, Trailer, RV, Vehicles...About $140 a year for both me and my wife. 200 mile tows if needed. I think different States have different coverage.
