Going to pull the trigger on a set. Just waiting on my tax refund to come in.
So we file electronically for the first time this year. We were told we'd cut the wait time in half, yeah right.
We've been waiting over 2 months now. Apparently someone else filed a return with my SS# electronically.
So last night, I get home from work and help the OL around the house, she wanted a water fountain moved from the back yard to the front. Get everything set up for her and she loves where I put the fountain.
Later that night I said to her I've been thinking that if we ever get our refund I'd like to put a new set of shocks on the bike.
She said she didn't care how much I spend on the bike, ever.
So after months of trying to figure out if I wanted to go with Progressives, Legend, SAS, Platinum, since they are all around the same price give or take a few $, I decided to go with the Shotgun.
OK, so how do I go about getting a fire lit under the IRS to show me the money?
Also, JD is right down the freeway from us. Roadtrip planned for sometime this year.

As for JD, he does a quick job of installing the SS with the help of his wife. He did our '12 Heritage in about two hours and that was answering the phone several times during the install. JD stated that since our bike was new, only 200 miles on it, the factory mounting bolts came right out with no problem. With older bikes the bolts seem to lock up even tighter.
Yep you will LOVE the SS.

I have a question about the shotgun shock...I really just found out what it was. If you lower the shock, will it stay stiff enough not to rub the fender when it's slammed. I guess what I am looking for is someone to tell me how slick it is.

Your softail can be lowered as low as its mechanically capable of going. The shotgunshock never bottoms out and suspension lowers until swingarm comes into contact with frame, tire will not contact fender when bike is slammed.

Put a larger wheel and tire on it and you should be aware of closer clearances between the tire and fender.
