Seat Recomendations
I've done 12 hrs on an AirHawk and still felt like grilling a steak and drinking bourbon till
midnight. It's not for looks, but you can take it off easily. It's the same low pressure air technology used by hospitals and burn victims. Not like any other cushion. The original AirHawk will give you a bit more spring but costs about $150.

Another Ultimate fan here. After 4 different seats, it is the most comfortable
I like the Sundowner - tho all are not created equal. On a Dyna the Sundowner looked kinda like a slug on top the bike, but was comfy. On an Ultra it looked better but shoved me forward and had a huge pillion. Looked like a touring seat, comfy. On a Softail, your year included, the Sundowner sits you down into the bike and has a better looking profile than the others. It has a distinctly more firm feel to it when you first sit down, but that's deceptive - it's actually really supportive and comfortable on the long haul.
And this reminds me - I have a Sundowner that should fit an 06 I could sell!
