I like apes but I don't like those. I'd either get different ones or grab drag bars if it were mine.

Though I'd consider apes on that bike if they were more narrow at the tree and wider towards the top. i think those wide apes on that front end looks wierd. just my two cents...since you asked.

Thanks man, I appreciate the feedback. I'm kind of thinking the same thing, to be honest. I'm really liking the Wild Ones Chubby drag bars.

Something more like this look:

Those are the WO565 drag bars. I think it just fits the narrowness of the springer front end a lot better. Either way...I'm still going to give these 17" apes a shot, since they're already on there.

With the forward controls and the drag bars it will look like you are trying to do sit ups while riding. My

I voted for the 12" Apes.

We'll see what happens, I guess. I kind of like the look of the drag bars, but I feel like they'll make me stretch too far forward (and look like I'm doing a sit-up, like you said, lol). I kind of like the look of the ape-hangers on the bike, but I just think that these 17" ones look like they're a bit too tall, and I'm concerned about my reach, because I'm pretty sure they'll be above my shoulders (I'm 5'10"). I don't have the bike yet, so I can't say for sure until it gets here. The stock type of Springer handlebars just look too...normal...and don't have the "custom" kind of look. I don't think they'd look right on the bike.

It all brings me back full circle to the ape-hangers. Like I said, I'll give the ones that are on there a shot, since they're already installed. Hopefully they'll work out okay and I'll be happy with them, and then I don't have to spend more $$$. If they do end up being a bit too tall, I think I'll have to spring for some 10" or 12" bars and call it good there, I guess.

I guess I over think things, hem and haw about stuff, and worry myself about stuff when I can't do anything about it. It's really no use for me to get so bogged down in trying to figure something like this out until I actually have the bike on-hand to see how it looks/feels.

I definitely appreciate everyone's feedback. I just know that at this point, I should just wait and see how the bars that are on there do for me, when the bike arrives next week. After that I can decide how I want to go.

I have Wild One Chubby Dragster bars on mine with straight risers. Love 'em.

I don't feel stretched out at all. The bars come back a bit. It's no worse than hanging off apes thats for sure. And I have forward controls too. the seating position is very comfy actually.

Kinda poor picture but here you go:

I'd leave it like it is for awhile and see how it goes. You may end up learning to love them.

I say either keep them, or get some narrower looking apes. Those are a bit to wide for my liking. But that's just my opinion.
