Bought my first Softail!!
It's a 1989 Springer Softail (FXSTS). Full custom paint job, and lots of chrome. Looks super clean and well kept for a 1989. It's got an Evo motor, and it's a built motor, too. Same bore, but completely torn down and rebuilt for performance. New pistons, ported/polished heads, Dave Mackie cam, all new gaskets and seals, S&S Super carburetor, and Bassani exhaust. It's got a lot of little touches, like the Kuryakn flush fit gas caps, skull relfector in the headlight, etc. The only part I'm skeptical on is the 17" ape-hangers. I've never ridden a bike with apes, and while it looks pretty good on this bike, I think they may be just a little bit excessive. I still like the look, but I may convert it over to something more like 12" apes. Since it's already fixed up with the 17" apes, though, I'll at least give that a try and see how it feels and see if I like them. Ironically, if I go to 12" apes, I will most likely have to buy some SHORTER cables for it, because the ones on there are super long.
Unfortunately, since I found it and just bought it off of eBay a few days ago, I don't actually have it yet. If feel a little bit wary of buying it online like that, but I have tons of pictures from the seller showing the condition, and he even made and sent me a video of a cold start and warm up to idle so I could hear it and know that it runs well. The seller is in New York, and I am in Alabama, but I've already got the shipping lined up, and the bike was picked up by the shipping company in New York today. Supposedly, it should be here no later than May 24th. I can't wait!!
So of course, I am posting tons of pictures to show it off, and I am going to post a link to the video the seller made for me, too. I'd love to hear what you guys think. Please take a moment to vote in the poll and give me your opinion on the handlebars. That's really the one big question I'm uncertain about how I want to go.

And here's the seller's cold-start video he made and sent me. You can definitely tell it's got a cam. It really doesn't idle for crap until it's warmed up, and then it sounds like a beast. I can't get over how sweet that cammed Evo motor sounds when it's just chopping away at idle.
