Are the forks the same on a 2001 softtail standard as they are on a 2004 softtail standard?

Thanks I hope this saves me a lot of money. I found a pair of 2004 softtail fork bottom tubes which is exactly what I need for only 50 bucks. WINNING!!!

Spend some time giving them a polish job in stead of leaving them satin. Makes a world of difference on the looks.
