09 Heritage- looking to give my little lady a bit more comfort.
I know that Shotgun Shocks is the best answer, but $1350 is hard for me to lay down especially since I intend to add an Ultra to my stable in a couple of years for long rides.
I've read that there are more comfortable passenger pillions out there so I'm looking for some recommendations.
I like my stock seat that has a gel insert, so I want to keep it.
Also, I'm running a leather tour pak if that makes any difference.
I got the wife the bigger HD seat, its about 3'' wider but more important is its about 1 1/2'' taller, She not big at 115#'s but her tailbone give her fits at times.
Also I got her the Tourning Sissy bar pad for her back and FloorBoards so she can move around, All three of these changes made a major diff in the amount of time she can ride.
the stock set-up on our 07 really sucked and her riding time went from 1/2 hr before pain set-in to now as long as she wants on our rides (usually 2-4 hrs/no pain) after the changes .
My wife dont complain to much about seats but wont ride without back rest.
+1 - the backrest makes a bigger difference in comfort according to my girl but I also have a mustang pillion that is a bit wider than stock which she raves about - I told her it has gel in it but it doesn't.
Get her her own bike and go solo. You'll never go back...
Well my original plan was to get the Heritage, ride it for a couple of years, then get an Ultra and have the little Lady take over the Heritage.
The problem with my plan is the little Lady has no interest in being the pilot, she is perfectly happy being just the navigator. Plus, I love my Heritage and am not too sure I want to give it to anyone including my little Lady.
With her little butt she doesn't complain until about 3 hours into the ride, but I would like to make it more comfortable for her.
