Default tail light question.

Does anyone know if the kuryakyn panacea taillights with the integrated turn signals just plug in with not having to run additional wiring? I have an 06 night train and some jerk clipped of my stock turn signal. I tore off the other one with plans of replacing them with the panacea. I am not too handy and hope I dont have to run any wires. Thanks

Well then your in luck, you wont have to run any additional wireswith the panacea tail light. It will just connect to the existing wiring, however if you are scrapping the turn signals you will need to take care of the extra wiring being careful not to leave any exposed wire.

If you are using LED's you need to get the loads...Also if you drop the rear turn signals like I did another load is needed as well. No additional wiring required.

I used the ledtaillight without a load equalizer on my 02' train. When I switched fenders I gave it to a guy with an 06" street glide and we didn't need a load equalizer there either, but if you want signals you'll have to get one.The led taillight I have now doesn't need one either.

Tail and brake lights do not require load resistors to work properly. Its only the turn signals that need it because the load is what makes it blink properly. If you don't have the load, it tends to look like a dead short and makes the circuit blink really fast.

I have the Panacea tail light without the stock turn signals on my 06 FXSTS.

Remove the stock tail light. The turn signals plug in behind. Unplug. You have to remove the fender struts to unbolt the turn signals. Do one side at a time so the fender stays in place. Plug the Panacea tail light in the stock plug. Remove the seat and disconnect the plug for the rear wiring harness. This is the location for the red control module (with the load equalizer).

Works great!

I filled the holes in the fender struts with the chrome plugs which come stock on a Deluxe.
