Hell that's a lot of k's if you were getting 10,000 miles out of them. How many did you get out of the 404's?
I really don't know how many miles I would have been able to squeeze out of them. I traded the Kaw in for a Heritage not long after putting them on the Kaw. The stock 402s on my heritage are still holding up well after 6000 miles. I hear the Commanders and Elites will give you the best mileage, but that just from what I've read on this forum.

I just replaced my Pirelli Night Dragons after 6000 miles. They still had plenty of wear but were cupping and I had another reason to take the wheels off so new tire time.

Same tires. I was happy with them. I put new brake rotors on and decided to replace the tires while the wheels were off. Otherwise they might have made it a few more months.
Aussie, not to run you around, but I had a Honda VTX 1800 that ate tires for breakfast. I had purchased a 200mm Battle axe tire from Bridgestone. It was the 020 series and maybe a radial. This model may have an updated series number, but they held up well and price was low.
