I had to do this on my rear wheel on my night train. It was rubbing on one side. Just loosened the spokeson one side a turn and tightened the other side up a little. Pulled the whole outer rim over the 1/4" I needed. I obviously had to true it when I was finished.
i was thinking about going to a 23" front rim, but this combo might have just made me change my mind, i love the steamroller look...is the front rim 3.5 wide?
I don't know who they have over there building there wheels but they should be fired. I received my 60 spoke, 21 front 18 rear, and they look great. I go to mount up the front wheel and the bearing are sunk way into the hub. I measure my old bearings compaired to the new and it's almost an inch off. Ok, not that big of a deal. I'll just have to use my factory spacer that sits in between the 2 bearings. So I press out the bearings of my stock wheel and the new wheel to switch over the spacer. Now the wheel mounts up perfect and brake rotor lines up perfect with the caliper, but the rim is not centered. WTF!!!!!! They most have laced my rim wrong
As mentioned, you have a limited amount of adjustability with spokes. I wouldn't trust that to DNA though. If in the LA area, I recommend Black Bike Wheels.
I got the rear wheel mounted. It is off 1/4" to the right. Shouldn't be a problem though. I'll just press the bearings over. I have enough clearance on the pulley side and the bracket for the caliper will still line up.
I decided I'm going to grind off 1/8" off the front caliper and 1/8" off the caliper mount on the lower fork to center the front wheel. I measured the length of the spokes on each side and they are equal at 7 3/4", so I should be safe. I don't want to have to deal with removing the tires and rotor and sending it back. I don't trust that they will get it right anyway. I read mixed reviews on DNA before I bought them and decided to take the risk. Guess I was one of the unlucky ones. I have the bike all together and even went on a test ride. It rode ok for being off center. Once I get it perfect I will be happy. Now back to work tearing it all apart again.
Off subject, but I noticed your foot pegs are about 2" higher than my factory pegs. I'm assuming your after market pegs and mounts came this way. Did they advertise them being in a different spot or just came out that way?
