I put Lundell Z's on mine and along with the SS lines its a LOT better than stock.
Seems to be a bit easier to control the braking force as well, and very little dust.
Same here. My only complaint with the Z-Series pads on the front is they will squeal with light braking force at slow speeds. The odd thing is the squeal did not start for a few weeks after install. I would put anti-squeal on the back of the pads but given the pistons only contact the pads at the circumference of the piston, I don't see that helping.
Since I last posted on this thread I have upgraded both front and rear suspensions. Rear with SS, front with Ricor Intimidators. The Ricors greatly reduced front brake dive and give a much better ride in rough road conditions and keep the front from diving and rising when entering and exiting turns. In short, with an upgraded suspension comes much better braking.
Check on eBay. Plenty of brake lines, either new old stock, or aftermarket that are less expensive than that. Magnum Shielding and Motion Pro are 2 that come to mind. Barrnett's is another, but I think Magnum makes theirs.
