thunderheader install
I've searched for a thread on this and have only found threads for dynas. I got a thunderheader today and am starting the install in the morning. Does anyone have any tips for this install? Also I'm wondering about the snap rings, do they require a special tool?
Can't help you with the install, but snap-ring pliers are one of those tools that you won't use very often, but they sure come in handy when you need them. You may be able to rent them at Autozone or pick up a cheap pair at any hardware store...

my install was pretty painless, make sure you disconnect all 02 sensors before you start loosening bolts, just have them dangeling. you will def need a 1/4" swivel adapter for rear jug exhaust bolt, no getting around it, i did it by myself, but if u have extra hand, 2-1s get heavy and awkward when trying to place into motor, good luck, and excellent choice of exhaust, went through 5 different exhausts on two different bikes...until i finally saw the light! only exhaust i will ever have again for future bikes
I was very happy with the Thunder Header I had on my Heritage. I little on the loud side (the very loud side!), but great performance and nothing else sounds like a Thunder Header!
