I took a look at this bike on Friday. Very impressive. I found the seat not all that comfortable and the position of the bars as well.
I could probably have gotten used to both, but the price......that was another matter.
The sticker was high $29k plus DMV (license/reg) and included a $2K markup. So right at almost $30K out the door
Salesman said my bike + $22K would get it done. LOL!
So I get hosed comin' an goin'??!!
I was pre-approved by my CU for any deal I wanted to make basically. Now I probably would have made a deal to buy it outright for $27,500 out the door and sell mine myself, but that wasn't going to happen. They wanted all they could get.
Anyway, I'm fine with my Softail. It runs great and looks good!

Sounds like you thought it through instead of making a rash decision you might regret down the road, so that is cool. CVOs are very nice bikes and demand top dollar for the accessories they come with, but sadly not all of us can afford them, and in some cases some of use who can afford them, cannot easily justify those kind of dollars in light of standard production bikes or personalized (read Custom) bikes, but always good to see the variety and the continued dedication of both the factory to producing them, and the customers who buy them. Nothing wrong with your Softail.

$30K?? Sweet Geezus...
It's nice, but it's not that nice.
For that kinda money you could get an ElectraGlide Ultra Limited, and have $5K left over for mods.

Both me and the ol' lady drove a rental Electraglide over the weekend (switching off between our shared Rocker and the rental). We both agreed that it's a really nice scooter, but highly lacking in "Harley soul".
When we returned the rental, I took a V-rod for a test ride. My impression was that it's a super-nice and refined bike, approaching some of the foreign sport bikes I've owned or ridden, but it wasn't nearly as fast as I expected it to be. Mighta followed the test ride with some money, even sacrificing a little harley soul, if it had come close to being as fast as I expected it to be.
