This is what i was looking for to be exact. Wish this guy sold them.....

I figured we could pool some vendors who built these for future Rocker C owners.

I've probably got about $300 in it in outside labor and materials, like TIG welding and upholstery (wasn't going to compromise on weld quality). Then there were several mockups and prototypes....

Ended up with a simple and sturdy design. If you think there's a sufficient market, you'd be welcome to copy it. I've got way too many irons in the fire already.
The design in the video looks good too, and is probably better looking than mine. I'd definitely want a pro TIG weld on that cross bar attachment point though. It's highly stressed, and failure would be catastrophic for a passenger.

PM me a phone number and we can talk.

Thumbs up Pillion for Rocker C

The standard FXCWC "trick" pillion seat is not passenger friendly. After months of looking for a commercial alternative to buy, I decided to improve (I think) on Steemer's solution.

I used the FXCW HD factory option seat and modified the mounting so it clips on and off my Rocker C just as easily as the stock pad. Now the wife has a backrest and larger seat, but I can add or remove it in seconds.

Easy and quick to do with basic tools and elementary skills. I bought another Rocker C pillion pad, in case I screwed up, so I still have an emergency passenger "seat", if ever required.

You just need to strip the standard pillion pad until you're left with the steel plate and spring loaded ring pull locking bolt. Then cut out sections as shown to enable it to fit under the two pillion hooks on the stock FXCW detachable passenger pillion. Next, drill two 7 mm (5/16"?)holes, and attach the "trick \" pillion plate to the bottom of stock FXCW seat using two 1/4" x 2" bolts/screws with washers using the existing threaded holes on the FXCW seat vacated by the pillion levers you need to remove, and voila!

Parts required:
1 x 52959-08 Pillion, FXCW
1 x 52804-08 Upright, Chrome, FXCW
1 x 51782-07 Backrest pad, small, VRSC
2 x 1/4" x 2" stainless steel bolts/screws and washers (from a hardware store)

Dude, you are the ****! That is it. That is the FINAL SOLUTION for Rocker C riders .... IMO. This is the way one can keep the original setup, but throw that on when i want her on long rides. Solid!!! Now I'm getting a gel insert added to my seat and I'm set. Thanks bud.

I've got a brand new passengers pillion assembly to sell if you're interested. Consists of:

1 x 52959-08 Pillion, FXCW
1 x 52804-08 Upright, Chrome, FXCW
1 x 51782-07 Backrest pad, small, VRSC

I'd like $200+actual shipping on it. PM me if interested- thanks, and good luck!

Agreed! Ya, I prob ride 2 up about 5-10% of the time and only 5% are long rides. So, there is no way i'm letting go of my rocker, or the trick seat lol. I Just want to have solid solution for that 1/20 long rides with a lady on board ; ) If i can't find a solution.... then too bad for her There is no way I'm giving this baby up!

* I also just wanted to get a set of solutions going on here for all new rocker owners to see what the possible solutions were, "while keeping the trick seat option." All the other threads seem to ultimately lead to getting rid of the trick seat. But, I think this thread has shown there are some great ways to maintain the trick seat and provide solutions.

Since the stock seat for both rider and passenger sucks so bad, going with either a FXCW or Danny Gray with strut setup is what most do if they don't go with a Heartland kit for 2 up.

I don't want to be so hasty about it sucking so bad. I am having Gel inserted into my stock FXCWC seat (Saddlemen SaddleGel Gel Seat Pad Raw Gel Pad XL 10034). That solves the comfort issue. Then, as suggested above, taking the plate from the FXCWC and welding it to a touring seat, allows for comfortable long term rides. And, keep the original trick seat to use for short term rides! That is a real solution right there that covers all the bases. ; ) IMO

If you ever get a chance to sit on and ride a FXCWC with a Danny Gray, you'll wonder why you went to so much trouble to keep the stock seat.

Modifying the passenger setup will require leaving it at home to mount or take it off anyway since it will no longer fit under the seat.
