For the Austin, central Tx area folks, there's a haunted hotel in down town Schulenburg. Also a haunted old court house/jail in La Grange. Went to both one Halloween night, but didn't see and ghosties, though the hotel did have pictures taken of supposed spirits seen there before.

That was a "Halloween" haunted house. he's talking about a "real" haunted house. Several are reported here in Denver, one belonging to the "Unsinkable" Molly Brown. Another to the Richtofen clan. Yes, THAT Richtofen.
We have quite a few of what are considered to be haunted "places" around here, but houses, not so much...

Story is, his mistress was short tempered and quick to fire the help over petty stuff. One day, she did so... and the guy came back pissed. He poured gasoline in the rooms surrounding the one she and her guests were in, and set the place on fire. He then rushed the room, ax-murdering the woman and 6 others. She apparently haunts the place now...
True or not, I love Mr. Wright's architectural style, and the house and grounds look to be wicked-cool.
