Nice one. Hopefully someone meets your new challenge with a great photo, too. I *might* have a slim chance (yeah, yeah... SLIM... bad pun...) at this one. We'll see what's up on the way back from tomorrow's funeral.
Good to see this challenge thread continue to move!
Right. Bum deal nobody got pics at a Veterans Parade. I rode all 3 days over the long weekend and rode down to our local parade to show support to our vets.
With the typhoon hitting the Philippines in mind, a picture of your ride (gos) in front of an American Red Cross building, Blood Mobile, donation station, etc. with the words "Red Cross" and logo on it. Bonus points for giving blood.
A bloodmobile is a mobile blood donation center. It is a vehicle (usually a bus or a large van) equipped with everything necessary for a blood donation procedure. Blood drives involving bloodmobiles usually happen in public places such as colleges and churches.
Often large employers will sponsor mobile blood drives and allow employees a few hours off of work to donate blood. In addition, many high schools hold annual blood drives which allow students aged 16 and over to donate blood with a signed permission form. Typically students are offered snacks, T-shirts, or time out of class as an incentive, as well as positive peer pressure.
It's called Cobblers II, run by Karen and Marilyn. They do all sorts of leather repair, custom work, resoling of boots... all around great work, and nice people. Put on 100 miles or so with my wife. Great way to spend a birthday afternoon.
If that works, here's my challenge: We keep either bitching about how cold it is, or bragging 'cause it's still warm. Show me. Your bike with a sign of some sort that displays the current temperature. Often, these are at banks, churches, or some such... should be easy to find for anyone playing.
Strange angle on that photo - it's tucked behind the fishtail... not the most ideal of setups, actually. Been considering one of those fender tip LED run/stop/turn deals like's on SoCalSlim's bike
