I too, yzergod will try to ride at least once a month and will participate as practical in this thread. I gotta keep my streak of riding every month since I've had my bike alive.

I picked this Slim up last November, and managed to get in at least two good rides every month last winter.
In one stretch in the middle of January I think it was, I managed a ride every day for about a week.
Hoping for another mild one.
/knock on wood...
..still, just to be safe, I've already started topping it off on the way home every time I go out now, and I add SeaFoam once I get here...

Seafoam?! You been talking to Traildog over in the EVO section?
Way cool Rags! Exactly what I envisioned! Good job. I don't get how fast you're able to complete these, but good job none the less! Very impressive. Like a "softail photo thread rapid response team"! LOL.
Right place at the right time, I suppose! I could have had it probably 4.5 hours earlier, but had other things I needed to do first.
Honestly, I hadn't stopped by that park since they dedicated the new memorial (though I have to go by it every day for work). It was a good opportunity to do so. It's actually pretty cool - seems a lot of towns around here have some sort of memorial, so it was actually a question of "which one do I want to hit". I never served, but my dad and grandfather did. My deal was the rank of first Lt in the CAP, then off to college... poor eyesight prohibited me from flying in the USAF or USN, so I never went. Still, the respect I have for those who did/do serve and for our flag is extremely high.
Don't know how much more ride time I have this season, and even less before I, too, park the Slim in favor of the Road King (older, more to hide behind). Figured I'd still pop in for this one, though. Don't count me out - I rode well into January last year. I'm a stubborn f****r.

Habitat for Humanity Restore takes used furniture & building supplies and resells it to fund the building of houses for low/no income people. They are building a home for a local veteran and are giving it to him Monday. My wife & I always donate our old stuff and buy stuff to use from them. This past year we donated a ton of old furniture when we moved from our ranch house into town. I dropped off today a bunch of hinge/clasp hardware that I took off a dozen old wood storm windows we bought from here 2 weeks ago and installed around our front porch for winter.
Next up is your bike in front of a Veterans Parade or celebration this weekend. If there isn't a winner by Tuesday morning, I will change the challenge to something else.
