Wow.
I'm the alcoholic in this family. Is why I got exiled finally. I got my act together and she asked me back which surprised the crap outta me. Now you really have my sympathy.

After 28 years of living Hell, mine ran off with a guy twice my weight, polite way of saying he's a lard a$$. He made more money than I and was retiring, and those were the two things she wanted most in life. It's been seven years now and haven't looked for another, as that one kinda ruined me at trusting the opposite sex. Too many ulterior motives.
Ragnar, you're a lucky man. Treat her right...

God's speed in the healing of all those broken ribs...

QC, glad you got a handle on things and were loved enough to become a part of your family's lives again... tomp dd50

Great Job to Ragnar and his wife, well done. My wife likes to do her own work as well but I need to be there to help and coach her. She has been a great woman to me for years. As some of you here know she was diagnosed with a so called incurable blood cancer back in Aug of this year. Now after 4 months of Chemo, radiation and a stem cell transplant , her blood work has come back really good and she has stopped treatments. If here levels hold for the next 6 months then she will be considered in full remission. She is getting stronger by the day and is looking forward to the upcoming season so she can ride her bike again. Of course through all of this I was nice enough to put the pillion and back rest on my bike so she could go for some rides with me.

It's 15 degrees out, 5 degrees with windchill standing still. In the wind? Cold as f***. Still... couldn't pass on a dual-purpose ride - to snag this sleigh pic to win the challenge, and to test-ride the Shotgun.

Nice sleigh, but holy *****, is the Shotgun on the Lo a serious win! I liked the improvement in the ride on my Slim and feel it was well worth the investment, but THIS is SICK!

So... next challenge? How about some inflatable holiday yard art? There's bound to be an inflatable Santa, Frosty, Rudolph, or some such deal in someone's yard near you!

Thanks, too, guys for the kind words regarding my lovely bride. I am, most definitely, a lucky guy. Both of us had a "training marriage" before this one - pretty awful experiences for both of us. Sorry to hear about the issues some of the rest of you are having.

Thanks! I was there for advice and support. The install went easier with three hands. She did most of the work - pretty much, I broke the bolts free on the original shocks. Tools aren't a foreign concept to her - she's a hell of an artist. She made this Kukri completely by hand:

Can't tell you how often I've thought about you two, hoping things were improving. This is fantastic news! VERY happy to hear this, and we'll have to make sure we do manage to get that ride in next year - this one seemed to slip away from us faster than we could manage to work it in!
