I want to upgrade my stock FXST Softail 2000 to a bigger-wider wheel and low profile tire without changing the stock swingarm, do you know the maximun width and clearance allowed?
I am planning to go 18" and 180 tire but not sure if it fits.
Also if I need to change something else as sproket and belt, let me know!
What year bike is yours, and did you have to change out the belt to get the bigger tire on there?
....... 01 FXST , I don't remember if your belt was Bigger , they changed-um some Time around there , I had too change the Left rear Fender Bolt around , ... it wasn't rubbin lookin at it in the garage , when I came back from a Ride , I looked at the Tire and I could see where it was Rubbin a little , so shaved a little off the Bolt head .... and that Fixed-it ....
