It is now time to replace the tires on my 2006 Deuce. I have been reading all night online and on the forum about what tire will fit on my stock set up. I want to run a 180 SE Dunlop but the price is just too high for something that should be $100 less than the retail price.
I also want to increase the front tire to a 90-21 or larger. What brand 180 tires will run on my bike with no mods? What is the largest tire I can fit on my stock front wheel and stay under the fender?
Like I said, I have read everywhere on this. I hope someone who has this set up on their deuce will chime in.

Ran a 170 rear avon storm 2.... I wanted 180 but same deal some brands will fit some won't... soke u need differnt spacers.... so I went with a 170 knew it would fit...
For the front I went with a 90/90-21 avom venom... the 90/90 looks great and think its the biggest u could go on a stock front
i used to run same setup as above, you can run 170s no probs, but only the SE 180
your rim needs to be wider for true 180
i run a 180 but my setup slightly different now and i have a 18x5.5 rear wheel

So the problem is really the stock wheel running the 180 tire. I see there is a kit by Vulcan for the spacers to run a 180 but if it doesn't fit on the wheel I guess I'm dreaming.
On the 170 wide tires, the actual width is different per brand. I wonder what the widest 170 there is out there?
Update. I'm going Thursday to have the tires installed. I went with the SE 180 Dunlop and OEM front tire seeing that they had both in stock. They gave me a great deal. 10% of the front tire and 15% of the rear tire. They had 4 SE 180 tires in stock.
I went ahead and ordered the Vulcan spacer kit just in case I need it. After taking my belt guards off there isn't much room for the wider tire. My Deuce is an early 06 model and it appears that there must be some change in the mid year production and mine will need the spacers. I hope that they get here before Thursday.

correct, the 4.5 rim stops you going true 180, if you have a wider wheel 5.5 like mine you can go to 200 on deuce so long as you change to a 07 belt and pulley, to go past 180 the issue becomes tyre touching belt, so narrower belt and pulley gives more clearance between the tyre
of the earlier 00-06 softails only the deuce can do this tyre conversion as the others cant go past 160 as frame horns become an issue
