Not too sure about the plate cover just because it takes away from the fender paint. I think just a simple vertical side mount and a black Sparto taillight would be cool, but that's just me and if you like it then right on!
I'm actually going to change the rear fender out for a tighter fitting one and paint it black when I get a new rear wheel over the winter. I want the tank to pop. And everything else compliment it.

Like you, I took as many things as possible off my bike. Looking at your picture how about taking off:
- Passenger pegs
- Stickers on frame
- Plastic rear fender guard (see my thread here)
- Chain guard (or did you already?)
The chain guard is gonna go. I am leaving the passenger pegs because my girl rides with me from time to time. I wouldn't mind some "quick release" style pegs. Stickers are in the process of coming off. And I am looking through your thread now.

I just ordered the new splash guard. I'll do the same thing you did and powdercoat it black. Thanks for the suggestion!
