What year was the last year the Harley coated the inside of the fuel tank? I read some older threads about this, but none seemed for sure.
I have a 2005 softail, and I look down inside it and cant tell ( i havent removed the fuel pump cover to look). I look in filler neck and cant tell. I cant see any coating. I see bare welds and bare metal. At least thats what it looks like. Whereas I can easily tell my old Ironhead.
I want to have my 2005 tins powdercoated, but I dont want to add a bunch of other expenses.
Does anyone really know?
