Depends on the bike model, fuel delivery system.

If its fuel injected, yes you will need to seal things again. Simple as buying a new top plate gasket and sealing screws (10) at a dealership. And as for reinstalling the plug and fuel, supply line/quick disco, you need need o-rings too.

Not much experience with the carb bikes, so I can't say, but I'm thinking so for this type as well.

I am not sure if you need to coat a tank after acid dip or not, but I just coated a tank from a 52 Ferguson tractor using a kit from POR15 and it was not hard to do at all. Again, I am not sure it is required, but if it is it was not difficult.

If you dont coat it afterwards it will rust. There is alwasy little bits of water in fuel that will cause rust and it will get really bad and ruin the injectors fuel pump etc. So ask him if he will recoat it or do it your self it is easy to do but you want to do it quickly as after an acid bath the metal is bare and ripe for rust.

If you have to wait and are concerned about flash rust the POR15 get comes with degreaser and acid to get rid of it before you apply the coating. Like I said, it is easy, but if you use the degreaser and acid it does take a while and you are suppose to sit there flipping the tank around while you wait.

This is the stuff I am talking about, there maybe other options that are better, but this is the only one I have ever used:

if there's a radiator shop close by ask them how much to coat them. I hear it's even better than the factory coating.
