So, it appears that as far as handle bars Id have a problem.. Im using 3" risers and plan to go to 4"... what would be the result of not using that cover that is provided for the bar clamp? Would it look like crap? Im guessing the answer is yes.
It's not bad and there's a company that actually makes a dress-up chrome plate to cover the gap between the risers if you don't use the riser cover. I don't remember which company but I'll check around and see if I can find them...

No worries.. only if you get bored Like your bike by the way.. somehow your bike doesnt look so bad with the rear seat rest installed. I usually hate it. Maybe the big headlight offsets it
I'm also looking into it, but would prob get one in black. There are a few chrome ones avail on ebay, and jpcycles also has the chrome nacelle kit. But if you want OEM your dealer can order it for you.

I saw the ones on ebay... harley's is the same price more or less so why buy third party?

I would not use risers other than stock with apes. They just don't look right,
just my opinion. Why mess up the looks of the nacelle with high risers. The
cover for the handlebar clamp makes for a nice clean look.
