DickGrayson,
mine constantly bottomed out when I just used a white bros lowering kit, I dropped it 2 inches and the ride was really rough, If I had my woman with me there was no doubt about hitting the stops, BAM ! , This was the main reason for an air suspension on mine, the slammed look was just gravy , but now I would not do it any other way , you can dial in the pressure to what ever the circumstances require, Your bike looks killer by the way.
Fripple, I think I ended up puttng about $1200 into it this winter. I paid for the transmission offset to be done and then new headlight, powdercoat, and some other goodies. I sold some of the take-off parts on eBay and got back a decent chunk of money, so considering all that, it was maybe $600 out of pocket. Not too shabby.
Here are some more photos with the black goodies on it. I think I'm done for the season except for wrapping the pipes. I'm gonna have to save up for that air suspension. Maybe that can be a next winter project.
I got the dash from a member here on the forums. It came off of his '06 Train. He also sent me the horn and a/c covers. Yet another reason why this place rocks!
