My admittedly uneducated opinion on longevity is since bikes have only 2 very small contact patches as compared to 4, the MC tire is going to be made to provide more grip than life to give a safe ride. Would I like a longer lasting tire? Just like everyone else, you bet! I don't see it happening though. JMHO.

I have a 200mm Dunlop American Elite on my Deuce. It's the newest version of their "power cruiser" tire that has a harder center and softer side for performance + wear. I'll let you know how long it lasts. Cost me just under $200 at the local big four dealer. The HD shop wanted over $250 for the same tire.
