Torque Specs for 2013 Breakout
Torqued the bolts to 15 ft lbs, with no leaks. Did not use the loctite. Job took around 5 hours with me taking things slow, and being very **** with a brand new bike. Vance and Hines gave excellent directions on how to install.
Looks and sounds awesome! The sound clip doesn't do the exhaust justice, but it gave it a deep growl, and sounds even better once you get up over 3000 rpm. Overall, very happy with the Vance and Hines and Roland Sands Design upgrades. Getting the re-map at the dealership tomorrow.
Here is the youtube video.
Great minds think alike, lol. I'm really happy with the exhaust! I hated the sound of the stock pipes, extremely quite. I'm looking at mirrors, pegs, and grips next.
I have the sundowner passenger pillion for the wife, she loves it. I def take it off when by myself thought.

Have an old blanket to lay the pipes on to protect them.
Ensure you remove the old gaskets and to ease the new ones in pop them in the freezer for a couple of hours.
Don't be tempted to over tighten the exhaust flange nuts, do top nut finger tight, torque bottom nut to about 7 ft/lbs, then top to about 15 ft/lbs, then bottom to 15 ft/lbs ( check manual or phone dealer to confirm torque for your bike in case it changed). I don't use thread lock as the blue stuff I swear by isn't effective in that heat range. I do however put a second nut on the studs to lock the first in place ( domed nut looks quite good). I also copper slip the exhaust port to exhaust flange joint to make it easier to remove in future years.
When done ensure you give the pipes a wash with soapy water and dry before starting for first time. Greasy marks and fingerprints can mark the chrome on startup.
Doing air intake and exhaust will require a change to the fuel delivery, I have in the past used the SE race tuner to good effect, reasonable mpg, less heat and no popping and banging indicative of a less than perfect tune. On my new bike I am using the TTS equipment as its difficult to get the proper SE race tuner here now and the other Harley offering isn't IMHO any use for what I want.
There are cheaper tuning options, but then there are cheaper bikes also .
