Well Dave I ordered my bars Friday and won some switch housings/clutch mech/front brake master on Ebay tonight.....dang now I figure if I am gonna have to bleed my front brakes I might as well put on a braided line.....then I might as well relocate my turn signals.....then I might as well put on new grips....then I might as well buy pegs/shifter/brake pedal to match, oh and then if I am gonna do all that I might as well put on some pimp forward controls....well if I do that.....blah, blah, blah!!! Where does the madness stop? I love it!! The more I look at your bike the more ideas I get. I am glad you live in Minnesota cause they might end up looking similar. I do have onemore question (for now)....you said you had a docking system for luggage. I am not able to find anything to accomodate much, especially if you want to stay cool and havea solo seat! I am assuming it uses thebolts on the fender struts. If you got any pics of your stuff mounted up can you post them...............Please! Sorry so long, Bud Light has me ramblin on!

LOL! I know that story well! Good thing you're getting the new brake line, the stock one won't work with the new handlebars, if you got the ones I think you did. Well, let me restate that; it will work, but it won't fit quite right. In case you didn't order it yet, I can save you some time (and money in my case). I special ordered by brake line from Magnum Shielding through my local dealer. It is a 42" Sterling Chromite II line with a 90 degree fitting on the top, and a 135 degree fitting at the caliper. This allowed me to run the line horizontally with the bars to the uprights, down under the triple-tree and across, then down the fork to the caliper.

I'll take a pic with the sissy bar mounted later today and post it for you.

Here are a couple pics from both sides with and without the sissybar attached. The plan is to rig up a small luggage rack to the screws that secure the sissy bar to the side plates, but have it face forward. This is so I have a small platform that my laptop can rest on when I ride to work, or have my T-bag rest on it for trips so the paint doesn't get scratched. But I haven't fabricated that part yet. When I'm done, I post pics of the finished product. Hope this helps.
BTW, I would like to add that I sincerely appreciate the nice compliments. It made the project all the more worthwhile. Thank you!
DAYUMMMMMMMMMMMM, that sucks. Makes me appreciate Texas a little more!!! I just walked outside in my undies and it is pretty nice! LOL! Did you get that sissybar from HD? I was thinking about getting some of those tabs and "making" my own luggage rack. Don't have to be real pretty cause it will be covered up with luggage and then taken off when not needed. I got a buddy that owns a stainless steel fab shop here local, might recruit him.
Where is the cheapest place to get those braided lines? And maintain quaility? thanks for the pics Dave.
