Is it me or is this thing way too short and always seem like its going back up when I start puttingthe bike on it??? I mean I have had more "Oh SH*T" moments putting this bike on its stand than I have had in 25 years of riding!!! its shortening my lifespan!!

 

They creep a little til the stop on the pivot settles into the pocket in the base.

 

It did seem shorter than I'm used to, but I've only had one 'oh ****' moment - and it was all my fault. I got in a hurry and it bounced back at me while I started setting the bike over. Caught it in time thankfully..

 

Funny you say that, there's a youtube vid of the breakout introduction by harley staff on a stage and it falls over after a few seconds on the jiffy stand. Could be an issue.

My Road Glide still can give me heart attack when it slowly creeps forward on that kickstand. I hate that.

 

Yeah the kickstand is by far my most hated part of switching to HD. Horrid design IMO. There is absolutely not reason or use for the kickstand rolling backwards, other than ALWAYS making me second guess if its safe to put her down.

Seems worse on the Breakout than others.
