I make sure it's in 1st every time, read about this before I bought it. I saw someone with a rear kick stand, but haven't heard much about it

Can someone post a close-up video of putting the stand down and dismounting the bike so we can see??

When I was looking at the bike they were pointing out to me how the BO had it's stand moved forward unlike other softails where the stand is farther back under the primary?

Not used to the softails, so I would not know.

This will be the first thing I look at and tinker with on my next trip to the dealer.. But, I am afraid to go in there...$$$...

I Need a video from someone to save me $20,000 by going in to look for myself !

As you can see in the video, it was on the stand, crept forward, and the damn thing went up.
I am greatly concerned about parking my Breakout....something is wrong with that stand. I agree.,, we must inform Harley factory...

I have tried to take a video of it a few times now and keep missing the stand!! LOL I am afraid to do it off the bike for fear I will drop the thing trying to make the video!!

The stand just needs to be a few inches longer with more of a base. My rear stand on my chopper was SO much nicer than this. The Breakout just seems to have the shortest stand I have ever seen on a Harley! I park mine with the stand closest to the wall in my garage and then climb over it...and every time I about crap myself as it shifts when I go over!! LOL It hasnt fallen, but my cardiologist is gonna make an extra buck or two until I get this figured out!! LOL I am actually going to buy one of those front tire chocks that simply hold the bike upright at home...to at least take away SOME of my worry!!

Just to try and be more clear...you stop your bike, turn off the motor, put your stand down and then lean the bike onto the stand and get off. usually as you get off you turn your wheel to the left and the bike settles into the stand....or as you unweight the bike it settles a bit...this isnt the bike moving forward or backward...and this is when the stand on the breakout seems to move and feels like it wants to go up...and judging from youtube it HAS gone up on a few occasions and the bike just slowly falls over... It just NEVER feels like its fully propped up on the stand and isnt going anywhere....to the point I dont even want to polish mine on the stand...just feels like its gonna flop over at any minute. Granted, maybe its just me...but I am used to sportbikes where you just have a tiny little stand that goes almost straight down and they were WAYYY more stable than my Breakout, and same with my tiny little rear stand that was on my Big Dog.

SO I called customer care (1-800-258-2464) and they actually gave me a case number and told me at my 1000 mile check up to have the dealer inspect my stand to ensure it is operating normally...LOL....ummm yeah....it goes up and down just fine...LOL Guessing this will be a waste of time but at least Meagan was nice on the phone and didnt try to kill at much of my time as possible like most places do. I would guess they get enough complaints on it that they would possibly do something.

I already dropped my Breakout. Brand new bike, second time out. Bike was idling on the flat driveway, on the stand. All of a sudden it went down. Sounded awful but there are no visible damage that I can see.

Stand is way shorter and weird in comparison to my previous 2010 Street Bob.

That sucks . There is definitely something different about it. I ride my Step fathers 09 Street Glide from time to time and his kick stand feels a lot more reassuring than mine.

I hold my foot on the kickstand (behind it/on it) as I get off because I don't trust it at all.

Start calling that number I listed and complain!! Only way we will get them to do a thing about it is to be the squeaky wheel!! I dont even care if I have to pay for it, I just want a stable kickstand!!! (granted it will **** me off that I have to pay for their shortfalls in engineering, but I still NEED a trustworthy kickstand!!

My kickstand folded up on me twice and that's all it took for me to replace mine with a rear mounted kickstand.

Default Kickstand

Before I get off the back I always look down to make sure it is in the notch. Once in the notch your good. It takes a little getting used to.
