What stand is that and did it just bolt right up??? What was involved with installation??
Think I got the stand from Drag Specialties. I had to drill out and thread the holes on the frame to mount the kick stand. Wasn't to big of a deal to do it.

Which way does it go when you fold it up? Any pics with it up?
So After reading this thread I went and took a close look at my kick stand. Theres a notch that if the stand goes in correctly all the way in, it will not fold back up. Heres a crappy video.

Thanks for that video. Can you see that while seated on the bike? I guess as you put weight on the kickstand it should go into that groove, I will take notice of that next time I get off the bike. I always hold it forward with my foot until the bike settles on the stand. I have had many Harleys and the Breakout is the first one that I dont trust on the kick stand.
I read all the posts regarding the kickstand issue, so i have been careful setting my bike down on it.. leave my foot on it.. dismount and watch it go into the groove.. then the other day.. I set the bike down on it.. and before i walked away it fell onto my right thigh/ leg.. I caught it in time.. not a happy camper about this.. I could bring this to the dealer have them check it out and a Tech could actually screw up and it could fall there too.. Im just going to wait to see if there is a service bulletin on this in the future..
To all the guys saying they leave their bikes in gear, how does this make any difference to whether or not the bike will drop if the kickstand isn't fully deployed?
There is a post for every subject in here! Wow! First day I parked my ride in the garage, stand down, and obviously not fully kicked forward, off the bike and woah!! she nearly hit the cement - lucky I still had hold of the grips and took the wieght in time! Im paranoid now...
