Congrats!
I've had my share of touring bikes also.
Tho I like them all, I can only afford and keep one at a time
(wish I had a bigger garage)

Love what you have done to your Deluxe, where did you get that seat? Started out with a deluxe in 2010 after 35 years of no bikes put 15K on it and traded it for an Ultra Limited, which I have put 16K on. Love the bagger but never got the Deluxe out of my blood, so on Thursday I am picking p a 2013 Deluxe with 1300 miles on it. Never understood guys who have two bikes!!!!

UPDATE:
So I figured ill give a little update because I see a lot of threads lately about people wanting to switch from touring to cruiser and vice versa.
I've had my bike about 6 weeks now and have 1400 miles on it.
I love the fact that I feel comfortable in any situation with this bike, with the glide I would get very nervous pulling in to bike nights or any kind of parking lot that wasn't straight and leveled.
My wife is much more comfortable riding with me now because I have full control of the bike, with glide it was always teeth clenching when riding stop & go.
I love the feel of riding the twisty back roads of upstate NY.
I love how it handles in NYC local.
BUT yes there's a but.
Once I get on that highway and open it up to 65-75 mph I really really miss my glide.
I get a terrible vibration at 65 and over ( might be the slip ons I installed so ill wait till I put my full exhaust on) I miss my music, I miss my cruise control and I miss my fairing wind protection.
Am I regretting trading? No. Because I woulda never known.
But my next bike ill probably go back to glide.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts on the differences in the two bikes. It sounds to me like a Road King may have been a better choice for you. I to had uneasy feelings with my Ultra Classic in stock form. Since I am 5'7 with a 30 inch inseam the Ultra always felt big and top heavy. I was thinking about downsizing to either a Road King or Heritage Classic.I thought first I will strip my bike down which I did and it made a big difference. I'm Ok with it now and have decided to keep it for a while longer. It's a 2010 which I have put 24,000 miles on so far. My next bike will be either a Heritage Classic or a Road King.

Not sure where its coming from but it gets to a point where I gotta take my hand off the grip after a hour of highway riding otherwise it starts going numb from the vibration.

if I was going for a road king I coulda just stayed with my limited, they are the same frame and height. I'm 5'7 with a 28 inseam. I did 19,000 miles on the limited but locally on unfamiliar roads it was always nerve wracking.
