there wasn't a typo.. you stated 110 ci stroker.. Harley would never do that nor will they replace it with a new crate.. your buddy is wishful thinking.. you'll get new seals & gaskets.. hopefully they will check all the tolerances and you wont get get screwed over w a motor that only gets 5 thousands miles on it before it needs new gaskets.. good luck dealing with them.. unfortunately I think you are going to screwed..
Theirs been several in here this yr that has had the same issue.. it turned out on all that I remember that its just the excess oil on the factory seal..
Most just wipe it clean and have had no issue's afterwards..
for Ur dealer to tear it down is IMO unusual. ????

I have not yet dealt with Harley dealers, but my over all dealer experiences I may tend to agree about getting screwed, but that was the service manager saying the new motor stuff, as to go to 110 ci stroker they said sure if you pay for parts and labor, which of course no one is doing for free but if the motor is out or a new one is being installed it is the time to do it.

That's where im heading with this, I want all the bolts etc changed to chrome while its out if it does get pulled and replaced.
I should know by tomorrow hopefully where im at with this, heck I just want my bike back.
So I bought my 2012 FLSTF last week it had 308 miles rode it back home 400 miles. 783 total right now.
The first owner as you can see from the mileage bought it never used it.
Firstly I hope the best outcome for you.
Probably what makes folks think that there's something odd, is the fact that someone (the original owner) goes out and buys a new Harley and keeps it for a good few months without actually using it, and then lets it go for a "too good to be true" deal.
The fact that the dealer confirmed the warranty is good, is a major advantage for you, but if the dealer finds something done by the original owner to void warranty, then you'll be in a real pickle.
Again, I sure hope that it turns out good for you.

My first question to the original owner, the guy bought it built it and sold it. I was like why? He said he had more fun building it then riding it.
I actually tried to get them to get me to 110 ci stroker
And why do you say that?
Trust me until I see that new engine order I have to somewhat agree, that 00.1% is killing me!
I'm not saying Troll yet, but let's review: NYC, 19 posts, 1+ year old Harley with 300 miles, 2nd owner already, "a huge Harley mechanic", motor trashed? Yadda-Yadda. I will subscribe to see where this heads, but I'll place a bet.
