Default Some Bad News On MY New FLSTF

So I bought my 2012 FLSTF last week it had 308 miles rode it back home 400 miles. 783 total right now.

The first owner as you can see from the mileage bought it never used it.

I picked it up with my buddy a huge Harley tech he went over the bike and saw the rear cylinder had some oil on the bottom very little but never the less oil. He said most will do this until the seals etc break in and seat properly and it should stop and if it doesn't we still have the warranty, I got an insane deal on this bike and everything on it, I ran the VIN# thru Harleys database at my dealer all clean.

So yesterday as I finished dropping all my Willie G accessory's on it, we start it and I feel exhaust coming from the cylinder head and aluminum fragments and more oil. I immediately get it over to my dealer.

So my dealer said there going to tear it apart Monday and see where the failure is and if they pull the oil and there is any metal in the oil Harley is 99.9% going to send a new crate motor as there is no way they will ok a rebuild on an engine with so few miles.

It sucks but ill take a new motor, I did not even get to the 1000 service!

So the sports bike had to come out today

Well, that does suck.. however, pretty AWESOME that they would actually put a brand new motor in there. Keep us updated as to what happens!

Not that I'm cynical, but...

this new engine that Harley will 99.9% likely send is not sitting in the frame of your bike just yet!

Trust me until I see that new engine order I have to somewhat agree, that 00.1% is killing me!
