If you want it all in the can you need a 7in lamp or you will need to put your ballast somewhere else and run a longer harness up to the can.
H4 as mentioned but if you get a kit get the new style that does not require an extra hot wire. The kit I got was PnP.
An on/off switch is recommended. When you start the bike the lamp should be off or you may blow the occasional fuse.
There are a couple good threads with links if you search around on here.

I looked at that kit and I see a lead for a positive and negative hook up so I think its an older style kit. The kit that some of us have used is a full plug and play harness that runs off of the H4 socket with nothing in or out of the lamp housing.
Anyway, if you try one of these post up and let us know how it works for you.

If you have a 7" headlight, and switch the lamp out for a "E-code" (Europe's version of DOT) lamp for a Jeep CJ, it'll work much much better, the e-code specs are much stricter, and won't scatter the light as much as the stocker. I did this, and cannot exaggerate how great this setup is! You can buy the e-code lamp at www.quadratec.com, about $40 I think.
