I bought the samson black true duals with the 4" mufflers with chrome tips. I was very happy with them, both look and sound until.... I took my first long trip(725 miles) this weekend and what was my surprise when I got to my destination and both of my exhaust tips were gone. The tips were installed in the mufflers when I got them, so I didn't do anything to it, I did noticed that a single screw in the bottom was holding them in place, which look a little flimsy. To add insult to injury the dam tips are $90 a piece.
Did anybody have this problem, my guess is that whoever put this set together wasn't having his best day and forgot to tie it properly or loctite it, you may want to check yours, just sayin'
It's not unheard of for tips or baffles to fall off or out. Definitely something worth snugging down. I don't know which loctite would be best to use but I think I used blue the last time I messed with mid
Good luck calling Samson right now. They are in the middle of a move from Cal. to Sturgis. I couldn't even get an answer to simple question, they couldn't find their books and manuals and had no idea where they were. I would think another week or two and they should be settled in. In the meantime, I would look into other brand name tips that fit my pipes. Go to Dennis Kirk website, they have tons of different kinds of tips but after looking myself, they aren't any less expensive.

I see they haven't changed from 2009 till now. Impressive.
