Default 2012 Voltage regulator question

Hey, I have a 2012 Fatboy. I got stranded yesterday when the bike wouldn't start, even though lights came on and fuel pump primed. When I got the bike home I connected it to a charger and today it started up fine. I went out for a ride and the same thing happened...bike wouldn't start.

Can anyone tell me what the VIN # range is for the recall on bad voltage regulators in 2012 models?

Also, any other ideas what would cause this problem.

Much obliged!

Here's a link to the service bulletin about the regulator issue. It was dated June 11, 2012 and you have until June 2014 to get it fixed on the Moco's dime.

https://app.box.com/s/d3794df7ba0c20cd178e

Page #2 shows the date codes affected. It's easy to check your reg and see if it's within these codes. If it is, the new regulator is no charge.

Good luck...

Thanks for the amazingly quick response!!!!\

EDIT Well, my date code is 2312 which falls outside the recall range. It's never easy. Anyway I'm still under warranty so I guess they will have to haul it back to the dealership to figure this out. Great. Just great.
