Default Fatboy Lo bars on a Heritage

This past weekend I finally made the time to install some 2010 model Fatboy Lo bars/risers on my 03 Heritage. I'm pretty happy with the bars and not sure why I procrastinated so long to take on this project. I feel like I ran across some threads on this topic in the past, but my search didn't turn up any positive results and I don't have them in my bookmarks.

My next step is to install braided lines for the clutch, throttle, and front brake. I'm not sure what lengths I'll need though. The stock cable lengths are a bit long and I figured I cant be the only person to go with these bars on a Heritage. Any pointers on determining cable length would be awesome and if you all know of a good vendor to purchase from I would certainly like to support a vendor that contributes to the forum.

It's very hard to order a set online and guess at getting it right. I took a string and ran it from the handlebars, to the connection under the fork and then down to the disc break (for example). Allow for some slop.

Thanks! I was thinking I could potentially go with the stock lengths for a Fatboy Lo, but have no information to confirm that.

Here are a couple of photos of the bars on my bike. I'm still coming up with a solution for cables, but the string idea sounds like a good starting point.

Looks good, grayTshirt, (and anything looks better than stock Heritage bars).

Tilt them back just a tad more...

I've still got my stock cables and brake line after about 3 sets of bars (I've got a stainless set I've yet to get around to putting on). Stock Heritage is tall enough to go anywhere reasonable, but I would think a stock set of fatboy cables would fit just right.... (best to measure though)
