A friend of mine has these on her evo fatboy. They are pretty small and not all that visible sitting against the strut. I have the Kury version but I mounted them on the stock hd blinker mounts. When I mounted the Kury ones on the strut they didn't cover one of the holes on the strut. That bugged me so that's why they went on the stock blinker mount. The Kury ones also are brighter than her auto gem lights. But yes you are correct they clean up the rear end a lot when mounted on the strut.
