Default Softail Slim Cable Routing

What is up with the routing of the throttle, clutch and brake lines on the Slim.

I have covered the tinware with some clear sheet plastic until I can figure out how to stop the various cables and lines rubbing against the paintwork.

Has anyone already come up with a solution.

Having said that just got my new slim home and I love it. Fitted a 1 1/4 inch extended heel shifter and lowered the shifters so they are almost level with the floor board.

The front brake is terrible but hoping when it gets some miles on it it gets better.

The seat has got to be modified, after an hour it's killing my butt.

Feels as light as a feather compared to my RK.

When I added my risers, the clutch cable began to rub.
I picked up some of these rubber-lined straps, like the ones that are on the brake cable, at Lowe's...

I've never had a problem with the brake or throttle cables rubbing.
Some guys just use zip-ties...

Man you got to give any seat time to break in. Have one modded or buy a new seat you need to give a few good long rides to break in some. Some say at least 1000 miles to break in a seat.

Local dealer just used zip ties on my '12 Slim... Said any paint damage is not covered.

I put a Performance Machine 6 piston up front with Lyndall pads and its night/day difference.

Yup, I had about 1 hour before my **** started to wear down. Just put on a Mustang seat with removeable backrest and so far it's great. (Edit... I rode 3800 miles before I finally switched to the Mustang)

Didn't happen on mine.

It was already tied down. I have a 2013.

I had the same problem on my 13, all I did was pull out the top clamp then relocate the throttle cables to go right under the handle bars then screw the top clamp back in. Simple 5 minute fix.

Zip ties, bandanna, plasti-dip and 1500 miles on the seat.

Thanks for the ideas, got some P clips ordered, going to look at routing the cables tomorrow, if I can stop riding it.

Front brake has improved some and I have some ebc pads on order.
