Anyone esle have/had this issue? Not sure if its the SoAZ heat, overfilling my tank, both? Filled up over lunch, ate, then as I left I noticed a decent size puddle and trail of fuel under my bike. The smell is what initially caught my attention. This accured for several minutes. Has happened a couple times before but not to this extent. I never had this problem before I had my oil tank pulled, repainted, and re-installed (dealer mishap) but I dont see how that would be connected to this issue...
Yeah it was parked on a flat surface. I squeeze mine full everytime. It almost seems like an over pressurization. I mean it probably spit out a good 1/3 of a quart maybe more..
If you top off the tank, you will get overflow. The possibility that the vapor line was disconnected from the vapor valve while pulling and installing the tank could be possible.

You would have to school me on this. Tell me where to look. To my knowledge there is one line (vent line, which I call the overflow) that runs from the tank to in front of the rear tire.
I'll fill up just before I ride on hot days and if out in the sun. If you top it off then park it in the sun and heat for an hour or so it will come out the vent.. normal...Just fill and top off after you eat and you will be fine

On mine the vent line comes out of the tank and runs down the back bone, crosses to the left and hooks to the vent valve low on the left side on the frame, then there is a short line that points to the ground. The valve is supposed to shut in in the event of a tip over to prevent spill/fire and is attached to a metal tab on the rear of the trans where the swing arm bolt goes through, right in front of the plastic inner fender. I had to replace mine as most of it was broken or missing for some reason.
