Default 2011 heritage starting question

I have a 2011 heritage, it has started hesitating when I push the start button. It acts like it's not going to start then fires. The digital read out on the dash will flip from the clock to the mileage by it's self when it does this. After it warms up it usually doesn't do this. Does anyone know what could be causing this? Also I noticed The read out for the reserve gas is not right anymore since it started doing this. Thanks for any help. Sherry

Check your battery connections then check your battery voltage, should be around 12.8. Below 12.6 is probably a problem. If so, try charging the battery. 2011, you could still have some warranty and you may want to hve it checked beyond the usual low battery routine. It's all I got.

Yup battery issue. I had the same, even with new HD battery. I changed to an EarthX Lithium Iron battery and never looked back. My ride spins over like there are no plugs in it now.

Agree with it being a battery issue also

harley9607, take a look at my threat: "click, click.." I have the same problem. It is not the battery. On mine, it only does it once in a 24 hour period, meaning that it only does it the first time you start it after its sat all night. I have a 2006 Heritage. I still do not have a solution. Don't buy a new battery just yet. Have yours tested first, but I do not believe it will be the battery. If the battery was doing this each and every time, then I would concur that you have a bad battery, but it does not. A bad battery does not heal itself. Once bad, its bad for good!!

Mine has done that several times and it was a loose negative battery cable. I locktite the connections but it still seems to loosen up every year or two.
