Anyone out there who has put a Linbar on a Deuce? I'm losing some strength in my legs due to a back problem & really getting worried I might drop it under some circumstances plus I like the having the built in highway foot rests. I know they look good on most bikes I've looked at but not too sure how they might look on a Deuce.
Thx. I got my bar after I had an incident where I went down but got lucky and only broke a mirror, clutch lever, and scrapped up my derby cover. My leg got trapped between the tank and the ground and I wasn't hurt so I count myself as lucky. Sure it may look better without a bar but I think it looks pretty cool with it on it. It's very solid and well made and gives me a place to stretch out on long rides. To me it's well worth the $$$ and I could care less what others think of my ride. Though I've had nothing but compliments thus far in person.
I'm not crazy about the way any crashbar looks on a "lean" bike, but they can easily turn a $1000 drop into a zero dollar drop.
Got a Linbar on my Rocker. Very high quality product. I don't care for the looks, but some people actually like it better than without.
Wifey dropped it in the driveway once when she was backing around some obstacles, and nothing significant on the bike got damaged. A scratch or two on the underside of the primary, but that was it. The Linbar limits my cornering clearance a little bit.
Slid another Rocker down the road without a crashguard, and it even smashed in the side of the tank. These scoots lay down awful flat. Insurance company totaled the bike.
Still trying to figure out what to do with my WideGlide. No crashbar on it yet, but part of my leg is still blue from the Rocker incident a year-and-a-half ago. Yup, the bike landed on top of it.

Thanks for replies, as warpfactor said, a lean bike would probably look better without it, but my mounting concern about dropping it & doing some serious damage is outweighing what I think about the look of my bike with it. Of all he engine guards/crash guards I've seen I like the looks of the Linbar the best.
