Soooo... I traded my Electra glide for a 13 fatboy lo and while I loved the position and the matching colors (anniversary edition) on the stock seat, I couldn't sit more then a hour without my tailbone hurting.
I bought a signature seat with backrest but that put me too much forward and wasn't that comfortable, so I sent my stock seat with pillion to mean city cycles and had him do the double memory foam on both plus widen the passenger pillion and oh man what a difference! Just did 2 full days of riding putting 500 miles on back roads and I could sit from fuel stop to fuel stop with no tailbone pain and seat is really really comfortable and supportive. So if anyone is needing more comfort but like the stock look, this is the way to go.
Thanks for the write up. What was turnaround time? Cost plus shipping too if you wold be so gracious,
Thanks!
As far as turn around time I got lucky. I had made a appointment for my Electra glide seat before I traded the bike, I cancelled that appointment when I traded and when I called for this seat they still had my appointment in the book so turnaround was less then a week. In general they set you up with a appointment and you send it in a few days before and you should have it back 2-3 days after your appointment. As far as cost it depends which mod you want (mine was $150 for the drivers seat and i think $125 for tge passenger cause i had them make that wider)and you pay round trip shipping which in my case was less then $20 each way with insurance included. Check them out on their website they have all the prices listed.
