Default fuelpak

I know this fuelpak thing has been beat to death but I want to give it every chance to work properly. I was talking to a shop here in Colo. And of course they want me to buy ser;t, but they say they can dyno my 03' duece with Rinehart 2into2's and the se stage 1 air intake. I already have the stage 1 download and my fuelpak works o.k, I think my bike just runs a little flat. And think it should be a bit stronger then it is. Anyone ever had their bike on the dyno to dial in a fuelpak? They say two hours on the dyno. And would a stage two download at the same time help?

The Fuelpak is easy to install but limited in adjustments and this it the reason why most dyno guys do not like working with a FuelPak. Many dealers will only work with HD SERXX tuners, my dealer works with Power Commanders and HD tuners.

What is a stage two download?

In my opinion, you're better off trying to get help from an independent tuner that knows how to make a Fuelpak work properly or from V&H themselves rather than going through H-D. I don't know about Mile High H-D, but I won't bring my bike to Rocky Mountain for service if I can avoid it. I do know Mile High dropped a bike off a lift last year. There are several indys in and around town.

I had the fuel pak on mine for a couple of years but when I did my cams after my intake and exhaust fuel pak became useless after many back and forths with V N H we couldnt get it dialed in , I switched to Fuel Moto and after 2 trys with them I got it. Bike runs great and im up here at 10,000 feet

I like Sun Harley in Denver, but would probably try to find an indy if you can. A lot of dealers in the Denver area, don't want to tune bikes unless you buy their equipment. They claim it is EPA regs? I was running the fuelpak and wasn't very happy with it either. I am now running the fuelpak in conjunction with a Xied, I am pretty pleased with that set up. Good luck man.

Got some more tweaks for the map I'm running and when it stops raining I'll try it out. I like the service manager out at avalanche h.d he is pretty straid forward with me.

I was wondering if Fuel Pak is good enough on pretty much a stock bike. I have FL-XIED's and was thinking of going to V&H slip-ons and thats it.

For slip-ons, you will be fine with just the XIEDs. I think a fuelpak would be over the top. I think the FL-XIED is good through a stage 1 (air cleaner, pipes), so you are fine with that set up.

Vance and Hines does not explain much about the settings except for a few. I had heard they would try to help with custom setups but I have no experience to draw from. I guess you tell them what the bike is doing and they try to figure out which setting needs tweaked. I put mine on and set it up per the website and it's been fine. Bike runs very strong. It's quick to accelerate even at high speeds in 6th gear.
